Happy New Year and fresh entry to the well over due blog

Well a New Year has come. In many ways I am looking forward to this year, new adventures! I haven't been very good at updating this blog in the later part of 08, it just seem to take a back seat to everything else going on in our lives. We had a great Christmas as Turreal, Kim, Bailee and Covelli came home to Colorado. My mother was able to come from Nebraska and my brother Rod and his wife Sandy all came to the house...what a wonderful time we all had. I think that it was great to have the entire family together...as many of you know when they all grow up and start their own families, coming together isn't always the easiest!

Back row is my brother Rod, Joram, Turreal and Mark
Front row is: Sierra Erin, Kim,my mom Connie, Sister-in-law Sandy, Me
Little ones: Bailee, Covelli, McKahl and Henessy
We loved having the family togther and we hope that soon Turreal and Kim will live somewhere in Colorado and so the time together as a family will come more often.
Here are some pictures of Christmas...enjoy!

McKahl (Erin's daughter) Henessy (Joram's daughter) and Bailee (Turreal's daughter)

Covelli "the man" he is one of the happiest babies I know..except when placed in a high chair with NO food in front of him on that tray!

Erin and Sierra had great ideas for the three girls..but you know when you have an idea for one, you have to do it for the other two...Erin bought each one of the girls their own camera's (they really take pictures and have software to download on to the computer to crop, design, etc the pictures they take...how cute!)

Sierra thought it would be fun for the girls to have matching pj's for the christmas holidays...they loved them...and warm!

Accident update!

OK I know I need to update for a lot people who want to follow our lives....crazy as that might seem to others...lol
Update on my accident, this past Sunday was 7 weeks from the accident, which means I have been 6 weeks on a liquid diet...Yeah half way through. Dec 15th should be my release date to migrate to soft and then solid foods...again yeah!!! right before the holidays and we start the new year.
I finally had my hand operated on, Tuesday Oct 28th...doing good and finally no pain.
So....the next couple of hurdles are that since the accident my bite has never been correct, there thoughts was that it was very swollen from the accident and would let time heal it, next Tuesday I go to the oral surgeon and since it will be over 8 weeks, they take x-rays and impressions and decide....hummmmmmm! I am not even going down that path right now
Second hurdle is that the man that ran the stop sign STILL hasn't called his insurance company which the insurance company LOVES as that means they can drag there feet about excepting liability....So we hired a lawyer and will let them take care of that. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support...we love you all for it!

Blessed to be alive...story

OK I know that a lot of you have been waiting for this blog.......Let's just say this takes a lot of energy typing with one finger, but yet I am blessed to be alive and sharing my story and pictures.
September 14th was a Sunday...Mark and I got up, cleaned out the garage and thrn met my brother Rod and his wife Sandy at 'Rock Bottom Brewery and Cafe for lunch (something that we have beem trying to do all summer long) We had such a great time, it was about 1:30 and we needed to get back home...had McKahl for a few hours so Erin could go to her once a month book club. Mark and I headed home using the frontage road that runs on the east side of I-25, just south of hwy 34 there is a county road 20E that joins to the frontage road...that day a man decided to blow through the stop sign...As I approched the intersection I could tell that this man wasn't going to stop..I saw Mark have to shoot out into the north bound lane to miss him. At that time I knew I had to stop....trying to stop and then the bike down..to short of a distince....T-Boned him in the drivers door. Here are some pictures of me and the bike...slideshow below

Update on the business.......

Some times you have to step back and look at what is going on around you. Mark and I did that with the buy the business. We haven't totally said "no" but we have put a two week hold on making any more moves. We totally know that we can grow the business, we have awesome ideas (not something I just think, we have had solid business people tell us that...I don't want you to think...I am full of myself)....we just don't have total peace and so we have stepped back and are waiting for direction...so for now.....'On hold' is were we are at.

Erin...co-ed....fall softball

Erin is playing co-ed softball this fall. Adrianne whom Erin works with asked her to play. Monday night was her first game. Mark, McKahl, Sierra, Jacksen and myself went to watch. It was hard to get pictures...OK I didn't have the night function on....
Any way I wanted to share some of the pictures..."Looking to Score" lost 14-11...better luck next time guys.
